We accept payments via VISA and MASTERCARD at our office; however, a 6% commission will be added due to Visa fees and other charges. Please send the receipt issued by Izipay, showing the name, transfer number, and date of payment.
• The remaining 50% balance of your tour must be paid in cash on the first day of your arrival in Cusco, in US dollars or Peruvian soles, to the Tikas Peru Nuevos Destinos staff assisting you. Prior communication with the passenger will be arranged.
• The final amount payable may vary due to exchange rate fluctuations, especially for the second payment.
• Please note that for large groups (e.g., 10 or more traveling together) or special quotes and services, different payment deadlines may apply, and payment is generally required at least 50 days before the departure date.
• Prices and rates are based on US dollars. Our prices may vary during holiday periods such as Easter, Christmas, and New Year. Any variation will be informed in advance by a company representative.
• Tour package prices and rates are per person, based on double occupancy in a standard room at all hotels, and include services, transfers, excursions listed, specialized guides, and entrance tickets (unless different conditions are specified for each tour).
• Prices and rates do not include extra expenses, such as tips, airport taxes, airfare, excess baggage fees, or any other service not specified in the program.
• If the personal information provided by the client for the reservation is incorrect, or if there are any changes or updates (e.g., passport details), this must be reported immediately by email. We will proceed with the update; however, such changes may incur a data change penalty set by the service providers. These costs will be assumed by the client.
• Our prices do not include Peruvian sales tax (IGV). Those exempt from paying this tax must comply with legal regulations. To obtain IGV exemption, the visitor must demonstrate compliance with international treaties honored by Peru by presenting a passport or national identity document. Please note that visitors who have stayed in Peru for more than 60 calendar days are no longer exempt from IGV.
• Airfare payment: Domestic flights must be paid 100% in advance at the time of reservation confirmation. Without this payment, we cannot proceed with the booking.
• Flight and train prices cannot be guaranteed until reservations are confirmed with all passenger details and the initial payment. Availability and prices may change quickly.
• Tickets requiring advance booking (such as Machu Picchu permits or the Inca Trail) must also be paid 100% in advance at the time of confirmation. You may choose to wait until 35 days prior to arrival, but availability is limited and tickets often sell out quickly.
• Entrance fees are subject to change without prior notice.
• All tours operated by Tikas Peru Nuevos Destinos are subject to itinerary changes due to various unforeseen circumstances. The itinerary should be considered only as a general guide.
• Tikas Peru Nuevos Destinos reserves the right to cancel, modify, or reschedule the order of any trip at the last minute without prior notice due to natural disasters, road conditions, adverse weather, river levels, strikes, sociopolitical unrest, flight delays, social conflicts, arrival or departure times of airplanes, buses, or trains, or any other inconvenience caused by third parties. If any change occurs, we will inform you immediately to coordinate the best possible solution and try not to affect your vacation. In Peru, based on our experience with force majeure events, situations such as strikes blocking travel routes or natural disasters may require changes to plans for your safety.
• In some cases, additional nightly charges may apply depending on specific situations. These charges are intended to ensure your safety and the proper execution of your trip. The company is not responsible for issuing refunds to clients in such cases.
• Likewise, TIKAS PERU NUEVOS DESTINOS reserves the right to cancel or modify any trip due to incompatibility between passengers and tour conditions, especially those related to health and physical condition. Excursions canceled due to the aforementioned circumstances will not be refunded or rescheduled.
• The price and duration of your trip will not change once your reservation has been confirmed.
• TRAVELERS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR INFORMING US IN ADVANCE OF ANY MEDICAL OR PERSONAL CONDITION THAT MAY AFFECT THE TRIP.
• It is the client’s responsibility to hold a valid passport (to enter Peru, the passport must be valid for at least 6 months), as well as any required visa permits, vaccinations, and preventive medications as required by the authorities of the countries visited during the tour. Information provided on these matters is given in good faith, but without responsibility on the part of Tikas Peru Nuevos Destinos.
• All clients, at the time of contracting the company’s services, agree to allow the company’s representative to take a copy of their personal documents (Passport, ID card, National ID, etc.). The company will keep this information confidential and will use it only for accounting and administrative procedures.
• Please also ensure that your identity documents are legible.
• According to current Peruvian law, a tourist may not remain in the country for more than 60 days under the TAM card. Therefore, if a foreign client has stayed in Peru for more than 60 days, they must pay an additional 18% IGV (sales tax) on the total tour price.
TRAVEL INSURANCE
• For your own protection, we strongly recommend that you purchase travel insurance. This can be essential in cases of trip cancellation, interruption, or delay, as well as to cover medical expenses or protect your financial investment. When you purchase your insurance policy, you will also be complying with our mandatory requirement.
• If a change request is received 30 days before your trip or 5 days or more after the confirmation has been sent, it will be subject to an operational fee of USD 50.00 per person.
• If you wish to make changes to the departure date and/or travel route within 48 hours prior to the tour, a fee of USD 100.00 per person will apply.
• Entrance tickets to Huayna Picchu, Machu Picchu Mountain, and Machu Picchu are subject to a USD 15.00 penalty and are non-refundable, in accordance with policies established by the Ministry of Culture.
• Train tickets are subject to an additional 10% penalty of the original ticket value, plus a schedule-related fare commission, in accordance with policies established by INCA RAIL and PERU RAIL.
• Hotel date changes are subject to the policies of each individual hotel.
SPECIAL CASE – DATE CHANGE: INCA TRAIL, SALKANTAY & INCA JUNGLE
• In the event of a date change for Inca Trail, Salkantay, or Inca Jungle services, changes may be made subject to availability, with a penalty of USD 120.00 per person.

• If the client wishes to cancel the reservation at any time, the cancellation must be communicated in writing to Tikas Peru Nuevos Destinos.
• TIKAS PERU NUEVOS DESTINOS is not responsible for expenses incurred prior to the trip, such as non-refundable advance-purchase airline tickets, visa fees, medical expenses, etc.
If you cancel or abandon a trip, please note the following:
• Full payment of your excursion or tour must be completed 48 hours prior to departure. If you are unable to complete payment within this timeframe, you may coordinate an alternative payment method. Without payment or prior coordination, your excursion will be CANCELLED.
• In the event of delays in your arrival in Cusco, Tikas Peru Nuevos Destinos assumes no responsibility for missed tours. Our staff will do their best to make the necessary modifications and accommodate you on another tour; however, any additional costs resulting from these changes will not be included in the original tour price.
• Any cancellation made within 7 days prior to the tour will incur a 100% penalty, and no refund will be granted.
• Transportation and medical expenses are not included in the event of a medical emergency during the excursion.
• Cancellations of any Inca Trail, Salkantay, or Inca Jungle reservations—whether made in advance or at the last minute—are considered NO SHOW, and no refund will be granted due to the nature of these services.
• In the case of cancellation of Machu Picchu Full Day or 2-Day services, no refund will be granted due to the nature of these services.
• In the case of cancellations of Inca Trail services only, no refund will be granted in accordance with the nature of the service and the policies of the Ministry of Culture.
• In the case of cancellation of the Salkantay Trek, including transportation, guiding services, Machu Picchu entrance tickets, Huayna Picchu tickets, and return train from Aguas Calientes, no refund will be granted in accordance with the nature of the service and our policies.
• Certain services may be interrupted or canceled due to weather conditions, force majeure, disturbances, or other circumstances beyond the control of the agency, airlines, or service providers. No refunds or reimbursements will be granted as a result of such interruptions or cancellations beyond our control.
• Airline tickets are non-refundable.
Refund conditions:
• 45–30 days before the departure date: 35% refund of the total reserved service.
• 29–20 days before the departure date: 25% refund of the total reserved service.
• 19–8 days before the departure date: 10% refund of the total reserved service.
• 7–1 days before the departure date: No refunds apply.
