Urubamba is a pleasant town with a mild climate and fertile plains in the middle of the Valley.
Ollantaytambo has one of the main archaeological sites in the valley. A wall made up of six enormous blocks perfectly united stands out.
Machupicchu on July 24, 1911 Hiram Bingham, a historian from Yale University (United States), was led by Peruvian peasants to a large archaeological complex, located on the top of Machu Picchu (Old Mountain, in Quechua).
The Inca citadel of Machupicchu is set in a remarkable natural setting.
In 2007, the citadel was elected one of the seven new wonders of the modern world.
We will pick you up in the morning from your hotel to transfer you to Awanacancha (breeding of llamas, alpacas, Guanacos and Vicuñas)
Later we will go to the archaeological center of Pisac, where we will observe agricultural terraces and the largest Inca cemetery, then we will visit one of the most traditional markets of the Andes “Mercado de Pisac”. where you can appreciate ceramics, textiles and silverware.
At the end of this tour we will go to the town of Urubamba where you will enjoy a buffet lunch surrounded by endemic flora and fauna. Our next destination will be the living Inca town – Ollantaytambo where you can visit streets that are more than 600 years old, as well as the local Inca house.
Finishing with the archaeological center surrounded by terraces and imperial Inca constructions, at the top you will find the Huiracocha temple that was built with huge stone blocks weighing up to 90 tons. Finishing our visit we will go to the station where we will board the train to Aguas Calientes. Upon arrival at the station we will wait for you to go to your respective hotel.
The expected day to visit Machu Picchu, the famous Sacred City, to appreciate the beautiful sunrise and sunrise in Machupicchu, we will start very early going on foot to the bus station, to board one of the first, the journey is 30 minutes to arrive at the Archaeological Center where you can feel the fantastic energy and explore all the magical and famous places of this impressive Inca citadel such as the Temple of the Sun, The Royal Tomb, The Intiwatana (sun dial rock), Main Square, Temple of the 3 Windows , The craft sector and The Temple of the Condor.
After this extraordinary visit we will return to the town of Aguas Calientes where you will have free time for lunch (not included) and visit the town and craft market, and then board the train back to Ollantaytambo where you will be transferred to your Hotel in Cusco.
